The Northern Review

Seth Roberts used to sing in a pop-punk band called Watashi Wa, and they weren’t really all that good. But when you’re 14, you don’t really have discerning tastes the way you do when you’re older. Nonetheless, it’s been a really neat experiences “growing up” with Seth and his music. He’s grown significantly as an artist and songwriter since his “Watashi Wa” days.

Enter “Lakes”, a catchy, melodic and hooky band from California.

The sound is familiar, but at the same time it draws you in with it’s well-crafted sound.

My hopes are that this album is just a hint of what’s to come for this quintet.

So check out “Back In Your Head”, from their freshly released record, “The Agreement”.
